White Wardrobe
65Why A Wardrobe
Many people look to buying a wardrobe because they just simply do not have enough room left in their closet. Others find that their dresser just is not enough. Other people want a wardrobe to be all functioning, to play the role of both a dresser and a closet. Many more people want a white wardrobe simply because they like the look of it in their room.
Why White
Some people find white to be the most overused color in interior decorating. I disagree. I think many people are afraid of the white in a white wardrobe. I think they're afraid it will make them look boring. In reality, white done right is one of the most interesting we use in interior decorating today. There are so many textures and hues to choose from. One can easily make an interesting and dynamic looking room.
Even if you do not want to go with an all white theme, white is a classic color. If you want to change your room around in five or six years, white will still be appropriate with what ever you choose. White also makes things look smaller. If you choose to go with the dark colored wardrobe, you may find it intrudes into the room. A white wardrobe, along with other white bedroom furniture, will never do this.
Options with White Wardrobes
Deciding what options you want, will be based on what you plan on using your wardrobe for. If you are planning on using this wardrobe to house your entire wardrobe of clothes, you will want to get as large of one as you can. You will want to get as many drawers as you can. You can expect a typical wardrobe to have between one and four drawers below each cabinet door. The main cabinet space will have a rod with which you can hang clothes on hangers. If you want to get to a wardrobe with an ornate molding, you may is still want to have a flat surface on top. Then you can place an additional decorative basket on top of it for extra storage.
A Single Wardrobe or Double White Wardrobe
A single wardrobe is that with only one door to the main cabinet area. You can expect it to be anywhere from between half the size of a full wardrobe or all the way up to two thirds or even three quarters the size of a full wardrobe. If
