Where to Buy Ravel Shoes

They run promos as well, so you can snag a great deal. Most orders will qualify for free shipping, so check them out. You can't find Ravel Shoe shops on High Street anymore, and it will be difficult to find them in any shoe shop in person. You will find the best selection from online merchants like shoes.co.uk.

C&J Clark

C&J Clark, commonly known as Clarks, was the parent company of Ravel Shoes in the United Kingdom. It started in 1825 when Cyrus Clark started a tanning and wool stapling business. Three years later, his brother James added the production of sheepskin slippers to the company. They first found their niche as a comfort shoe at the turn of the century. As their business grew, they were able to buy up old shoes store chains that had gone out of business. The company started many new shoe lines over the years. One such shoe line was the ravel shoe.

What's so Special About Ravel Shoes?

Ravel boots and ravel shoes were beyond trendy. They were trendsetting. They were daring and youthful while stamped the quality seal that comes with being a Clarks shoes.

In the 1960's, they set the shoes trends with Mary Jane shoes. They created all sorts of amazing and fun shoes. The other companies just watched, then made copycats of the best sellers. No one could keep up.

They would take a simple pump and make it unique. Many of their shoes look semi-deconstructed, showing the foot in a light we do not see often. Even their traditional pieces, calf high boots, were simply gorgeous.

Now, even three years after the ravel shoe line has been discontinued, the shoes are still in. They are maybe more in than ever.

Where Are Ravel Shoes UK Now?

Clarks shoes discontinued Ravel shoes in 2007. Most of Clarks Alegria shoes lines were for a more mature market. Thus, those walking into their shoe stores were not looking at a ravel. The young people of the United Kingdom that ravel shoes were made for were not finding them. The trendy shoes market just wasn't made for Clarks.

Ravel was bought up by another shoe manufacturer who has worked hard to bring back that creativity and trendsetting that is ravel. You can't find Ravel Shops anymore, but some stores will carry a selection of ravels. The best bet, though, is shopping online, where you are sure to find a wide variety and great prices.
