Finding the right laptop table can be a lot of work. There seems to be very little out there and available. Yet, if you look a little deeper, there are lots of options.

I started my quest for a laptop table not long after I purchased my laptop. I had a desk for my home PC, but it was small. I actually set my laptop on the keyboard for a while until I found a laptop table.

Finding a laptop table was more of an ordeal than I expected. I mean really, I was looking for a table suitable for a laptop. I wasn't looking for something to put on my lap, in order to hold my laptop on my lap. After all, it is a lap-top. It is made to go directly onto my lap. Also not looking for something to sit in bed with my laptop with. If I'm sitting in bed, I still have a lap. My laptop does quite well on my lap, thank you very much. I do not need a gadget protecting my lap from my laptop, since my laptop was made to go one top of my lap. So, here is what I found:

I like that this stand was versatile for sitting and standing. I am partial to standing sometimes when I work and I feel a laptop is prime for that kind of use. It is compact, folding small enough to carry in a laptop bag. I have no doubt that it is sturdy and stable. The only downside is the price. I was hoping to pay less than $100, a lot less if I could.

This one is so pretty. It looks like a table, right? It is adjustable, but not so adjustable that my 6'4" boyfriend could stand with is and use his laptop. It slides under your bed, so you can use it while in bed, but that was not what I was looking for. What I liked about thi is it was attractive, unlike all of the other options.

This is not a laptop table at all, but it is so cool! It looks close to perfect, having mobility with your laptop is freedom. However, the reviews said it was a little flimsy for the price. My laptop is not cheap, and I don't want to drop it, so I am a little wary of it.

This laptop table I guess was on infomercials for a while. It is really just supposed to be a very solid TV tray that also supports a laptop. It folds down so that it takes up basically no space when not in use. I like the simplicity of this table, as it is a table and not a gadget. It is tempting.

 Which Laptop Table To Choose?

I was really tempted by the laptop holder that you wear around your neck. But, I was afraid of losing my laptop, so I ruled it out.

I also loved the look of the rosewood cart, but thought that the price did not justify just the pretty look.

It was between the TV stand and the adjustable stand. I decided on the adjustable stand, even though it was more than I wanted to spend. I could see myself using it more, all the time in fact. I could also see it growing with me. I am young and I know my needs will be different in a few years than they are now, so i am looking for versatile pieces that will grow with me without taking up too much space. The adjustable laptop table stand fit the bill.
